Communicating at Work - Developing leadership skills and communication skills management


Leaders and managers or supervisors require different skills. A description or list management and leadership skills can have some qualities that overlap but are distinct in skills. Leader requires the ability to see the big picture and make decisions about missions and goals. Supervisors and managers need to excel in efficiency and productivity to make goals.

Both supervisors and managers need excellent communication skills. Excellent communication skills including speaking, presenting, listening, sell and persuade.

Leaders also need to develop:

1. Vision-and the opportunity to put the team on a mission.

2. Courage and conviction to carry out the intentions and decisions difficult.

3. Clarity of purpose and self-awareness.

4. Humor and humility, who often travel hand in hand. A leader without a sense of humor is often a tyrant, but one without humility is without a doubt.

5. Empathy and have a deep understanding of the priorities. Understanding the priorities is to be able to distinguish what is important now, a few months from now and a few years from now for a decision and its impact on others.

6. Inspirational ability to make others feel excited and confident. Motivated employees who believe in themselves, their product or service and their leaders will do everything to support the mission.

7. Confidence - not arrogance, but faith in their ability to conduct

9.Trustworthiness and moral strength. Honesty and know the right from wrong are qualities that are expected servant leaders

10. Servant leadership and the wisdom to know what it means to serve for no other for power.

Supervisors and managers also need to develop:

1. Self-management and the ability to set priorities based on the general framework.

2. Ability to obtain other co-working together to achieve the objectives.

3. Planning and organization of logistics, planning and implementation tasks to do.

4. Decision-making skills.

5. Composure and confidence in all circumstances.

6. Ability to resolve conflicts

7. Self-discipline and ability to deliver on our commitments to ourselves. Just like a diet you choose to honor their vow to lose weight, self-discipline comes from within.

8. Self-development-a commitment to improve your knowledge and skills.

9. The flexibility and the ability to quickly adapt to changing circumstances.

10. Delegation and the confidence to develop others and then let them do their work.

These are just some of the qualities and skills necessary to develop good managers and executives, excellent communication skills, but still top the list for both.

Communicate the vision, presenting a vision and persuade others to see the vision are the communication skills leaders need to master.

Conflict resolution, active listening, assertiveness and sales are the supervisors of communication skills needed to master .......
