Living on the Edge - The Blue Angels and Leadership

Do not you pursue excitement? Many people seek peak experiences. They search for the border. They push the envelope. They seek opportunities to feel fully alive every single moment. People do this to prove to themselves that they can do. People do this because the possibility is there. Doing the unknown, challenging boundaries and exploring new things is often what people are doing leader. And 'This is the reason they are leading? People follow leaders because they go to new places. Those who want to go all out they have a certain charm. There are people who love a challenge. It 'makes them happy. It makes them thrive. And 'who they are.

I was thinking recently of intense moments, as I saw the Blue Angels perform. I was amazed at what they were doing. Soaring in tight formation from 120 to 700 mph with the g forces distorting normal physical feelings as they fly the planes that cost more than $ 21 million each and weigh more than 24,000 pounds. * Imagine being a Blue Angels pilot. Each flight full of intense teamwork, demanding precision maneuvers and high adrenaline. Every moment filled to the brim with life. How can you match that? It 'was amazing just to think of the level at which they were performing. Living on the edge.

My friend shared with me. "I worked with a pilot, a former Blue Angel. Seemed disconnected to life." As a driver has given demanding, exhausting performances. He put his life on the line every time. Daily life pales in comparison. What could he do in life after the Blue Angels? What could be done that can even remotely compare to Blue Angels' experience?

As you can match the intensity? It seems that the key element is to remain on the sidelines. "To stay on the sidelines", you can be an advantage only to put into words. It 's easier to replicate "stand on the edge" when it is clear what to do, concretely and specifically. The goal is to find something that matches the description. Whatever matches that description is what that person needs to find joy. It is part of the essence of life for that person. That the board is for one person may be a means to another. It is making the choice of how to live life. And 'living consciously.

Only some people even find the thought of being a pilot for the Blue Angels interesting. There is strong competition. Since examine the candidates, only the best of the best are selected. Only some drivers will meet the requirements to be charismatic, able to handle challenges, public speaker and receive feedback in a team environment. It must be a careful game to make it work. The main ingredients of the activities must match the fundamental attributes of the person.

People who live in this equation where their needs and attributes match what they are asked to have the key to a happy life. You can consciously choose to "live on the margins." They include competent, strong leader. They include those who understand how to help the world through their strengths and gifts. They do their own peak experiences setting up their lives to satisfy their wants and needs. If you pursue excitement, look for your specific form of arousal for maximum satisfaction .......
