Valencia and Europe

In Sunday's election, the fact autonomy has only been really present in communities with strong representation of nationalist parties, who take advantage of this opportunity to lead the European Parliament and spreads its messages, on occasion, secessionists. So strong is this tendency that even the PSC, apart from using the inevitable claim Rodríguez Zapatero, has excluded from their ballots the names of the candidates Catalans, unless the head of the list, Lopez Aguilar, of course. Thus, amounts in the order of priority Maria Badia, Raimon Obiols and four indigenous socialist. Moreover, like the Netherlands, first country whose election results were known, 'Spain votes in this election in key national: they are "throwing the primaries to end Zapatero?, Insists Mariano Rajoy. The other variable in a much smaller draft is whether Sosa Wagner, the party's candidate Rosa Díez, get to sit in Strasbourg. Be ratified and a third way, after modest success nationally-Euskadi and both seem to bother the two major parties. Most of this campaign Valencia have been allusions to the Gürtel case. By Jorge Alart, with him trying to undermine the credibility of the PP.

And by the Popular Party, however, praising the honesty of Paco Camps, with a massive rally at which the minister of immigration, Rafael Blasco, managed to attract residents and 2,600 foreigners.

Everything else is incidental. It is known in advance, given their places of exit, which will seat the popular Garcia Margallo and Eva Ortiz and socialists and Josefa Andres Andres Perello, regardless of their role in this campaign has been necessarily secondary. No other candidate Valencia of the 35 parties in this election will come to Parliament. Some, like UV leader, Jose Manuel Miralles, show, holy ingenuity to achieve those lean official advertising then nobody listens. However, if you go in Brussels elucidate things that affect us in a huge budget of 150,000 million. Do not just try to get the lion's share of the various Community funds, but the influence EU legislation and in 75% of our daily lives and that some of their decisions-for example, the report of the Commissioner Margrete Auken about the excesses of urban Valencia, have had a devastating effect on our economy vulnerable. The paradox is that, while not ratify the Lisbon Treaty MEPs still do not have a decisive political role. Perhaps this is why all countries tend to send to the institution depreciated politicians and many of them, even without sufficient knowledge of languages.

But much of the real power lies in the Council and the Commission, with a clear dominance of Javier Solana, and also in those 34,000 officers whose influence is disputed between racks hundreds of lobbies of all kinds and 268 regional offices. You read that right: 268. Here, to know that introduce diffuse network of supporters effective power, lies the fundamental role of the different countries and different regions. The Valencia, in this work, it will not second to none and its European branch, created at the time by Joan Lerma, is one of the most numerous with 60 people who organize meetings, seminars, projects, presentations, ... under the direction Juan Manuel Revuelta. Thanks to that neat preset network of interests, whatever the election result today will not substantially change the course of the EU. However, if starting tomorrow politicians Valencia unexplored exploiting the opportunities offered to us by Europe, the future that lies ahead can be even darker than the uncertain present in which we live.
